Plain English summary: Rumble Chat Muter stores your mute list on your own device using your browser's built-in storage. No data is ever sent anywhere. We have no servers, no accounts, and no way to see anything about you or your usage — because we deliberately built it that way.

What data does this extension handle?

The only data Rumble Chat Muter ever touches is your mute list — the usernames you have chosen to mute, and any optional mute expiry times you set. This data is stored exclusively on your own device using chrome.storage.local, which is your browser's built-in local storage. It never leaves your device.

What data is collected or transmitted?

None. The extension does not:

Transmit any data to any external server or third party
Collect, log, or analyse your browsing activity
Access, read, or record chat messages
Track which streams you watch or how long
Use analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting
Communicate with any server operated by this extension's developer
Identify, profile, or track you in any way

What permissions does the extension use and why?

Permission	Why it's needed
storage	To save and load your mute list between browser sessions using Chrome's local storage API.
alarms	To automatically expire timed mutes (e.g. "mute for 30 minutes") even if you close the popup tab.
rumble.com	To inject the mute functionality into Rumble chat pages. The extension runs only on rumble.com and no other website.

Does my mute list sync across devices?

No. Your mute list is stored only on the device and browser profile where you installed the extension. It does not sync automatically. To transfer your list, use the Export button in the extension popup to download a JSON file, then Import it on any other device.

Does the extension access my Rumble account?

No. The extension only reads publicly visible usernames that appear in the chat window as part of normal page rendering. It does not access your Rumble account, login credentials, profile data, subscription information, or any data beyond what is already visibly displayed on screen.

Third parties

This extension contains no third-party code, analytics libraries, advertising SDKs, or tracking scripts of any kind. There are no third parties involved in any capacity.

Children's privacy

This extension does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is a purely local utility that processes nothing beyond what is already visible on your screen.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is ever updated, the new version will be published at this URL and the "last updated" date at the top of the page will be revised. Given that the extension collects no data of any kind, material changes are unlikely.
